Fidelity

I am currently participating in a discussion with Zak who is shocked and appalled at the fact that I am monogamous in relationships.

During a quick chat with Zak he discovered that I am not currently engaging in the horizontal tango as it were.

Zak: how's tricks? How's Life, Sex and the Universe?
Me: Life is good and the universe is incomprehensible as ever.
Zak: No sex?
Me: No sex :)

Which eventually lead to a coversation where he suggested that I have casual sex outside of a relationship.

"you are putting a pre-condition to limit your own desires .. in that you say that you wont break the worthless contract.. because of some misguided notion of fidelity?
Cass you are a socialist, a humanist, a thinker.. what is this construct?
Where are the ideals of freedom of being able to articulate thoughts, desires.."

This lead to a throughrally enjoyable debate about my monogamous nature which we related back to my acceptance of the norms and values of society and traced all the way back to the influence of eastern religions such as Christianity.
I have to say I love the way Zak seems to have elevated me during this debate.
